The ATC-600A is a handy ramp test set developed to simulate the ground station or airborne environment required to test Modes A and C transponders. The ATC-600A conforms most recent ARINC specifications and FAA regulations concerning transponder receiver sensitivity, SLS, transmitter power, frequency, percent reply, pilot's code and encoded altitude tests.
For DME testing, the ATC-600A has precise range and velocity simulation, power and frequency and PRF values.
FEATURES
- Calculates transponder frequency and checks for right DME channel
- Digital readout of XPDR code and altitude
- Binary pulse data for code and altitude
- Front panel connector gives direct check of altitude encoders
- Monitors position of XPDR second framing pulse relative to F1
- Precision DME range and velocity signals, both X and Y channel
- Internal battery and battery charge
